Navratri is a very auspicious time of the year and is celebrated over the period of 8-9 days. During this period, devotees observe fast from the first day to the ninth day. Navratri Recipe Collection

People eat only one meal a day, prepared with grains and vegetables that are healthy and easy to make. Besides grains and vegetables, nuts, fruits, and fruit juices/smoothies can also be consumed.
I follow a straightforward diet and refrain from consuming onion and garlic dishes in Navratri. But I do understand that some follow a very restricted diet and avoid eating a few spices and veggies that are mentioned in my recipes.
Some families follow a very restricted diet and do not consume veggies like carrots, peas, and beans. Feel free to omit them and plan your meal accordingly.
Likewise, spices like amchur powder, mustard seeds, haldi, chaat masala, kalonji are also not consumed. Please leave them out and follow your family vrat guidelines.
