Ingredients for No Bake Banana Pudding

What makes up this No Bake Banana Pudding

All you need is 5 essential ingredients plus the toppings –

» Cookies – I have used Nilla wafers, but you can use any kind that is readily available in your pantry.

» Bananas – are the star ingredient. Use ripe bananas for this banana pudding.

» Instant vanilla pudding – this pudding adds a creamy and rich tough to this recipe.

    » Toppings – No-Bake Banana Pudding

Finish the no back banana pudding with whipped cream, pecans, maraschino cherries, and chocolate drizzle.

How to make No Bake Banana Pudding?

There are no set rules to make this pudding. No prep work or cooking is required.

Simply assemble the dessert in minutes and chill in the refrigerator until you are ready to eat.

    1. Pour milk in a large bowl. Add vanilla pudding and whisk it well until the mixture thickens.

    2. Whether using instant boxed pudding or homemade vanilla custard, make sure it is thick and at room temperature.

Making of No Bake Banana Pudding

    3.  In a serving bowl, start with the first layer – cookies. Then add sliced bananas.

    4. Top with a layer of vanilla custard that we had prepared earlier in the recipe.

    5. Top with cherries and bananas.

    6. Repeat all layers until you reach the top of your glass. Finish the top layer with vanilla custard. Once everything is layered (custard, cookies, and fruits), chill the pudding for a few hours in the refrigerator for all the flavors to settle. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours.

Just before serving, finish off with a swirl of whipped cream, chopped nuts and a drizzle of chocolate syrup – pure indulgence and divine!

    • Peaches
    • Kiwi No-Bake Banana Pudding
    • Berries
    • Pineapple
    • Melons
    • Mangoes and the list are endless!

Mix and match to create a colorful dessert for your family. Trust me; they will devour this pudding in minutes!!

To enhance the flavor, match the fruits with the same pudding mix. For e.g., add strawberries with Strawberry Creme Instant Pudding Mix to enhance flavor.

Tips to make the best No Bake Banana Pudding

» Since I was on a time crunch (post-dinner craving), I prepared it with store-bought vanilla pudding and fruits that I had handy.

Likewise, you can use the cookies of your choice and layer with whatever seasonal fruits you have on hand.

» I have used Nilla Cookies for its recipe, and they contain eggs.

But this No-bake banana pudding recipe can easily be made vegetarian by using eggless cookies like – Parle-g, Marie biscuits, eggless coconut cookies, wheat cookies, to name a few.

» Store-bought no-cook Instant vanilla pudding mix was used to make this pudding. But homemade vanilla custard will taste equally delicious. If using homemade custard – remember to make it thick.

» Follow the instructions on the custard packet and cook a little longer until it reaches a thick consistency. Remove from the flame and cool slightly. Set in the refrigerator to chill. Use as directed in the recipe.

» Once everything is layered (custard, cookies, and fruits), chill the pudding for a few hours in the refrigerator for all the flavors to settle.

» This banana pudding recipe can easily be scaled to fit your needs. If you are feeding a large gathering, double up on the ingredients.
