The creamy strawberry Popsicle Ingredient list

Strawberries — The star ingredient of this Popsicle recipe, strawberries used here are fresh but can be frozen too. The drool-worthy flavor to this recipe is brought by this ripe, juicy, and excellent fruit!

Milk — Added to the recipe to ease the blending of the strawberries in the blender. It also lends the needed moisture.

Whipped Cream — Homemade whipped cream is used for this recipe as it is fresher than the store-bought one, and it also makes the creamiest popsicles.

ExtractStrawberry or Vanilla extract enhances the flavor of the popsicles.

Sweetener — Honey is added as a sweetener in the recipe. Honey blends wonderfully and also lend its unique delectable flavor. However, you can use powdered sugar or superfine sugar too as a substitute.

How to make the best Creamy Strawberry Popsicle

Purée ingredients — Start by making the creamy strawberry popsicle base. For this, add the strawberries, milk, and honey to a blender or food processor. Blend the ingredients until everything is completely smooth and creamy.

Prepare whipped cream — For 2 cups of whipped cream, combine 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, 1/4 tsp cream of tartar, and vanilla extract to the bowl of your stand mixer. Start whisking the cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the puréed fruits into the whipped cream until well blended.

Pretty color — Don’t these pops look great with their lovely pink color? Wondering what makes them so attractive? Let me introduce the secret ingredient that brings charm to these pops.

Adding a teaspoon of the Strawberry freeze-dried powder renders this beautiful pink color and more intense strawberry flavor to the recipe that captivates your eyes and the senses.

Fill popsicle molds — Transfer the blended popsicle mixture into popsicle molds until it almost fills the top. Insert popsicle sticks and close the lid.

Freeze — Freeze for 8 hours or overnight until the creamy strawberry popsicles are completely frozen solid.

When ready to serve, remove the creamy fruit popsicle from the mold and enjoy!

Recipe Tips and Variations

Substitute for whipped cream — Using whole milk yogurt as a substitute for this recipe will work great. It adds a hint of creaminess to our yummy popsicles. You can also use flavored yogurt for an overall enhanced flavor. You can add 1½ cup of yogurt to this frozen strawberry popsicle recipe for the best results.

Ripest strawberries for the yummiest popsicles — You should use the red and ripest strawberries for the best-tasting popsicles. The sweetness of these strawberries is the deciding factor for the quantity of sweetener added to the recipe.

For the silky smooth texture of these popsicles — Blending the strawberries into a smooth puree is essential for that gorgeously soft, smooth finish of these popsicles. Use a blender or food processor that churns the strawberries to their silkiest smoothness.

Adding honey for a magical sweetness — Honey complements the fresh tarty taste of the strawberries and adds just the right touch of desired sweetness. However, you can add vegan sugar, maple syrup, monk fruit sweetener, or date syrup for the vegan version to bring in the required sweetness.

Frozen popsicles with mint leaves

Take a taste test — After the strawberries have blended well, go for a taste test. It will confirm the sweetness of the puree. If the puree doesn’t taste as sweet, you may add a teaspoon(s) of sweetener to adjust the taste as desired.

Use frozen Strawberries — If you crave these popsicles out of season, you can still make them with frozen strawberries. The recipe will turn out to be just as delicious!

Adding sweetness is imperative — Originally, the strawberries taste tart, and as such, we need to add some form of sweetness to the recipe to counter-balance their tarty taste. We can add sugar or honey, whatever suits our taste best.

A truly make-ahead recipe — This easy strawberry popsicles recipe can be made in advance to be enjoyed later. Make them a day earlier and freeze them into the perfectly frozen creamy strawberry popsicles that are ready to eat the next day.

For the dairy-free popsicles recipe — You can use full-fat canned coconut milk cream for the creamiest texture of these popsicles. You will get the same yummy popsicles using coconut milk cream, no compromise with the taste.

For a beautiful pink color — You can add a teaspoon of powdered freeze-dried strawberries to the blended strawberries mixture for a stunning pink color and another layer of flavor!

RECIPE NOTES

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I substitute strawberries for some other fruit in this recipe?
Yes, absolutely you can! You can experiment with other fruits to create other wonderful popsicle recipes. I have tried this recipe with many other fruits, and each flavor was just marvelous. You can try using —
  • Raspberries
  • Blueberries
  • Peaches
  • Mangoes
  • And other fruits too!
You can even mix and match berries to create a wonderful assortment of flavors!

Can I double this recipe for Strawberry Popsicles?
Yes, you can! This strawberry popsicle recipe is crafted to make 8 lovely popsicles. However, you can scale it up or down to accommodate your specific need.
For doubling the recipe size, just double the ingredients (while keeping the proportions same) and follow the exact instructions.
Set it in molds and freeze. You are all set for the yummy treat!

How to best set these Strawberry Popsicles?
To ensure they are well set, you need to patiently let these popsicles sit in the coldest part of your freezer for about 5 to 6 hours.
Pour the popsicle mixture into the molds and keep them in the freezer to set. But remember not to get tempted to remove them sooner than the mentioned time.
The popsicles may seem hard and set, but they may still be soft and liquidy from the inside. So, giving them their needed time to set up is essential.

How can I store these strawberry popsicles?
These strawberry popsicles stay best in the freezer for 2 months. So, you can even make a big batch and store them in the freezer to relish them whenever the cravings hit.

What is the best way to unmold these popsicles?
Remove your frozen popsicles from the freezer once perfectly set in the molds. Now, run each of these molds under lukewarm water (not hot water, pls) for about a minute.
While doing so, keep the mold slightly inclined to avoid the water from getting inside the mold.
Now, carefully wiggle the mold stick to let the popsicle slide out effortlessly!
A word of caution here: Please do not force the popsicles out. This may lead to breaking the popsicles, which will ruin the fun.
If you find it challenging to unmold the popsicles, just allow them some more time under the lukewarm water. This will make it easier for the popsicles to release from the mold quickly.
Along the same lines, please do not keep the popsicles under warm water for longer than required, as they will start to melt in the molds.
A little caution while unmolding will result in beautiful popsicles!
