How to make Italian seasoning

Quick and easy homemade Italian herb seasoning. Blend of aromatic herbs adds zesty flavor to any recipe. Though it’s named as Italian seasoning, it’s an all purpose seasoning and I try to use it on almost everything from chicken to fish, pastas to grilled veggies, burgers to wraps and many more variations you can come up to spice up your dish.

You can buy Italian herb seasoning in stores and supermarkets but I prefer to make mine by mixing all the dried herbs. Adjust your salt because if tasted as is, it will taste bland as I prefer to keep salt on the lower side and later adjust that in my recipe rather than allowing the salt in a seasoning overpowering the whole recipe. Store it in an airtight container and you are good to go for at least 3 months, if you can resist not using it. You can also add dried cilantro to this seasoning to add extra flavor. Gather all your spices and follow the pictorial directions.

FOR THE RECIPE – Will yield 4 1/2  tablespoon of Italian Herb seasoning
