Ingredients

Step 1

Roast makhana  -  Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan, add phool makhana and roast them for 4-6 minutes or until the makhanas are light brown and crunchy.

Toast Dry nuts - In a pan, add ghee. Add drynuts to the pan. Sauté the nuts for a minute. Once done, removeIn a pan, add ghee. Add dry nuts to the pan.  Sauté the nuts for a minute.

Prepare the base - To the same pan add milk, saffron, cardamom powder, and stir it well.  Add milk powder, sugar, and stir until sugar is completely dissolved.

Step 4

Add Makhane - Add toasted phool makhane and nuts to the boiling milk. Mix it well. Cover and cook until the makhanas soak up the milk and become soft. Add the slivered nuts and mix well.
