Katori Chaat

This Katori Chaat is a lip-smackingly delicious sweet and savory filling nestled inside a flaky Katori (edible bowl).


Flour | Oil | Chickpeas Bean Sprouts | Potato Yogurt | Cucumber Spices | Herbs | Chutney

Soak dried chickpeas overnight. Then pressure cook on high in an Instant Pot.

Sauté the cooked chickpeas, salt, roasted cumin powder, and chaat masala in a pan.

Mix the flours, salt, oil, and water and knead to form the Katori dough. Let it rest. 

Soak the potato in hot water for 10-15 minutes. Drizzle with oil and air fry until crisp.

Wrap the dough around a Katori. Trim the extra dough from the top of the Katori and cook in oil until golden. 

Assemble the Katori by layering all the ingredients. Finish off with a drizzle of green chutney.
