Who doesn’t love smoothies and that too a BOWL FULL OF GOODNESS? A delicious and healthy smoothie bowl takes only minutes to prepare and will keep you cool and fueled till your next meal. For my family, smoothies are a healthy choice any time of day!
Smoothie bowls are super easy to make. Everything comes together in 5 minutes and the end result is a filling and satisfying breakfast packed with antioxidants, fiber, and vitamins. This amazingly delicious smoothie bowl will leave you completely satiated.
So what are we waiting for, let’s hop on the smoothie wagon and start our day right with this refreshing and nourishing Frosted mixed berry Acai smoothie Bowl!
Few words about the ingredients used in this smoothie.
This smoothie bowl uses Shredded Wheat Frosted Mixed Berry as the star ingredient. This cereal is a tasty twist on shredded wheat. The wholesomeness of 100% whole grain shredded wheat and the big taste of berries makes this Post cereal a perfect way to start your day.
It was the simplest recipe ever. I basically used some of my favorite ingredients like frozen berries, coconut water, frozen acai berry puree, apple juice and of course – shredded wheat frosted mixed berry cereal. Pulsed until smooth.
The end result – a thick and creamy smoothie with just the right consistency.
What are Acai berries? Acai berries are a super fruit from the rain-forests of Amazon. They are rich in antioxidants, fiber, vitamins and that’s the reason I like them in my smoothies. Acai berries can be substituted with Goji berries or blueberries.
Why coconut water? Because I just love coconut water. It naturally sweet and is a rich source of potassium, manganese, folate, calcium and is low in calories. Besides adding it to the smoothies it keeps you hydrated in summer months.
Now onto the recipe!
The beauty of this recipe is that no fancy ingredients are required to prepare this Frosted Mixed Berry Acai Smoothie Bowl. Simply assemble the fruits of your choice (fresh or frozen), store-bought acai berry puree, juice of your choice, coconut water, and Shredded Wheat Frosted Mixed Berry.
Toss them in a blender and blend until smooth and thick. Some of my other favorite fruits are –
- Banana slices
- Cashews or Almonds
- Chocolate chips
- Papaya and so on.
The possibilities are endless. For me, it was a simple bowl, so I have used a handful of ingredients. Shredded Wheat Frosted Mixed Berry provides a great texture to this smoothie.
Now let’s talk about the toppings!
Toppings are what makes a smoothie bowl look appetizing. I have used Shredded Wheat Frosted Mixed Berry, blackberries, raspberries, sliced almonds, strawberries, chia seeds and white chocolate chips to top my smoothie bowl. But feel free to experiment with other flavors like-
- shredded coconut
- other fresh fruits
- sunflower seeds
- dry nuts
- and some fresh mint leaves.
The best part about the leftover smoothie!
This smoothie freezes beautifully into Popsicle molds and my kids just love acai – frosted mixed berry flavored popsicles. These delicious and frozen popsicles will cool you down on a hot summer day.

Frosted Mixed Berry Acai Breakfast Bowl
- 3/4 cup Frosted mixed berry cereal
- 1 cup Frozen berries
- 1 packet Frozen Acai berry puree
- 3/4 cup Apple Juice (Or Orange Juice)
- 3/4 cup Coconut Water
- Assemble all the ingredients.
- Combine everything in a blender.
- Pulse on HIGH until smooth and blended.
- Once your smoothie base is made, simply pour and make yourself a waffle bowl. Top the bowl with fresh fruits and enjoy!
