Strawberry and Mango Smoothie
Staple drink of summer -Strawberry Mango Smoothie. Fresh strawberries and mangoes are in the season and time to prepare a very tasty and delicious summer drink. Makes a refreshing breakfast treat. As per once preference bananas can be added to this combo to make it filling and healthy.
Taste the fruit before adding, my strawberries and mangoes were naturally sweet so I passed on sugar. But sugar or honey can be added to the smoothie. If using frozen strawberries you can skip adding ice. Very adaptive recipe, any seasonal and tropical fruit will go nicely with this smoothie. I went heavy on strawberry instead of mango as strawberries were more sweeter than the mangoes. And my boys like strawberries more than mangoes. As mentioned above I didn’t feel the need to add sugar.
Try Flavored yogurt like vanilla, peach to enhance flavor. As I finish typing I have a fresh batch to prepare for my boys team who is headed back home from school all thirsty and what a perfect way to quench their thirst . This summer beat the heat with this cool and yummy smoothie.
