Just finished making valentine day treats for my kids school party – so much fun and wonderful! Have been volunteering for quite come time and I love classroom parties. So much to learn from these little munchkins and after all the hard work they do, they surely deserve some celebration.  These heart shaped lollies are kid friendly and super yum. Can’t wait to see the surprise look on their faces.

RECIPE DETAIL – To match the red theme, I tried my recipe with red velvet eggless cake. This recipe bakes two cake sheets. Follow the step by step tutorial to bake a red velvet cake.

Once the cake is baked, remove from oven and allow it to cool for couple of minutes. Carefully flip it over and while it is still hot remove the cake liner. Get your cutter and let the magic begin.cake-pops-7

Melt chocolate in a bowl, dip each heart in the chocolate and place it on a parchment paper and add some sprinkles. Allow the chocolate covered hearts to set for an hour. Finished with my last batch and they are setting in the fridge.

So this valentine, share a special treat with your little sweet hearts – chocolate covered hearts. Can’t wait for the class to to try it out tomorrow!

Happy Valentine day to all ! Have fun and enjoy!! You can also make red velvet cupcakes with this recipe.

Can these be made a day earlier? Or we can bake n refrigerate the hearts and dip in the chocolate next day?

    • Ruchi says:

Yes Huma, they can be made a day in advance. Bake and refrigerate the cake shaped hearts. Next morning dip in chocolate and refrigerate until chocolate is firm.
