Let’s end this year with a yummy chocolate cake that’s dairy free, egg- free (eggless), and butter free! The Best Vegan Chocolate Cake that is layered with a smooth and d-licious fudge sauce. What more can you ask for in a cake? A cake that is super moist and has a tender crumb – simply the best!!

I have baked a large cake for my New years party but the recipe size can be reduced to half for a small cake. Just change the serving size below the ingredient list from 1 to .5 and it will re-calculate the recipe for you. Best Vegan Chocolate Cake

Now, onto the recipe!

There are no complicated steps involved in this recipe.

Just combine all the wet and dry ingredients together in a bowl. Mix them together until well blended. Pour in a greased bowl and bake for 25 -30 minutes. That’s it. Best eggless chocolate cake

Topped this cake with a fudge sauce that’s made with JUST two ingredients. Yes TWO ingredients – Almond milk and choco chips! If not vegan, substitute almond milk for heavy cream.

INGREDIENTS
DRY INGREDIENTS
  • 3 cups All purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
WET INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Oil
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla essence
  • 2 Tablespoon Vinegar
FUDGE SAUCE
  • 1/2 cup Almond milk
  • 3/4 cup Semi- sweetened Chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup Crushed White choco chips as toppings
CHANGE SERVING SIZE: LARGE BUNDT CAKE
CHANGE UNITS:
METHOD
  1. Assemble dry ingredients. Preheat oven @350 degree F. The recipe size can be reduced to half for a small cake. Just change the serving size below the ingredient list from 1 to .5 and it will re-calculate the recipe for you.
  2. Wet ingredients.
  3. In a large bowl, sift dry ingredients together.
  4. Make sure no lumps are left behind.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients together in a bowl.
  6. Add water.
  7. And mix until well blended. Do not over beat the batter or it may result in sunken cakes.
  8. Grease a pan and pour batter into it.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes. For me it was 24 minutes.
  10. Allow the cake to cool for a while. Run a knife around the edges and invert the cake onto a clean plate.
  11. If you choose to make a Fudge sauce - assemble ingredients.
  12. Combine almond milk (use heavy cream for non vegan option) and choco chips in a bowl.
  13. Microwave for 45 seconds. Remove and whisk it well.
  14. Microwave for another 30-40 seconds until creamy and smooth. Allow the fudge to sit for 10 minutes. It will thicken.
  15. Transfer the cake to a wax paper and.....
  16. Drizzle the fudge all over the cake.
  17. Until the cake is fully drenched in fudge.
  18. Flavor your cake with whatever topping you like.
  19. Cut yourself a big slice and enjoy!!
