The Lion,Jackal & The Cave

Morale of the Story: " To be forewarned is to be forearmed. "

 While sitting inside he started dreaming about his prey.In a jungle there lived an lion named Vritrasura. For a very long time he could not find anything to eat and was very hungry.

He roamed here and there in search of food and at sunset he reached a big cave.

Thinking that in this cave some animal would be living in, he decided to go inside and wait for that animal's return. While sitting inside he started dreaming about his prey.

Very soon a jackal arrived, as it was his cave. He saw the lion's footprints leading into his cave, but none coming out. Naturally, he found that very strange. The jackal began to wonder, "How can I find out whether a lion is inside my cave or not?"

Then an idea struck him. "Hello cave," cried the jackal. After a moment of silence, the clever jackal said, "Why don't you answer? If you don't, I'll go elsewhere".

When the hungry lion heard this, he began to wonder why wasn't the cave replying. He thought perhaps it was afraid of him?,
When the Jackal heard the reply he was shocked as he knew that he has grown old in this cave but never before did the cave talked. Feeling some kind of danger the frightened jackal ran to safety. "I' should better answer for the cave or else the jackal may go away and I'll lose my dinner".

So the lion called out on behalf of the cave, "Hello jackal. It's all right for you to come in. Please do!"

When the Jackal heard the reply he was shocked as he knew that he has grown old in this cave but never before did the cave talked. Feeling some kind of danger the frightened jackal ran to safety.
