One day Jackal asked Stork to come to his place place and they will have dinner together. The stork agreed. While he was wondering what to serve for the meal, he thought he'd play a trick on the bird. So he prepared tasty Hot Vegetable soup and poured it into two flat plates.

When the Stork came for dinner the jackal served him hot vegetable soup and said "Help yourself, Mrs. Stork! I'm sure you'll enjoy this! Taste it, you'll find it's delicious!"

The stork could not sip a single drop of it, with its long beak from the flat soup-dish."Thank you very much!" said the stork, sniffing the soup. But she quickly saw the trick the fox had played on her. For no matter how she tried, she could not drink the soup from the flat plate. The sniggering fox urged her on: "Eat up! Do you like it?" She said: "I'm afraid I've such a headache that I've lost my appetite!" And the fox fussily replied: "What a shame! And it's such good soup too! Too bad! Maybe next time . . ." The stork could not sip a single drop of it, with its long beak from the flat soup-dish. She was much embarrassed. She felt very angry and decided to teach a lesson to the jackal.

The stork said, "What a sweet soup. tomorrow you come to my place."
