THE DRUMMER RAMU & SONAK

Morale of the Story: " Listen to your elders because they know better. "

Once a drummer named Ramu and his son Sonak once went to a nearby town to play their drums at a festival. Once a drummer named Ramu and his son Sonak once went to a nearby town to play their drums at a festival.
At the end of the festival people offered them money, jewels and clothes.
Sonak told his father that he really enjoyed the festival. " You gave a good performance, son", said Ramu.

The next moment Sonak started beating the drum. " I feel on top of the world today, father!, he said excitedly.
" Don’t make such a Din! You will attract Robbers! This forest is full of them!", warned Ramu.

The son consoled his father saying that he would play a martial beat to frighten them off.
The thieves attacked the drummer and his son and ran off with the loot. Some thieves hiding in the jungle heard the loud drumming.
They thought that a royal party is hunting in the forest.

After a while, Ramu again warned his son and told him to stop
playing the drum.

But the boy payed no heed to his warning and continued to play the drum.
"Stop! Why don’t you listen to me?", scolded Ramu. " Oh, father, you worry too much! I’ll scare the thieves good and proper!", he retorted.
The thieves soon realized that it was no royal party. It is just  somebody who has made a lot of money and is feeling happy!

They decided to attack them. The thieves quickly spotted the Ramu Scolding Sonakdrummer and his son. They realized that they certainly have some money in those heavy bundles. The thieves attacked the drummer and his son and ran off with the loot.

" I told you to stop, didn’t I?

But you wouldn’t listen. In your pride, you foolishly invited your own doom by playing at the wrong time !" said Ramu.

His son now realized his mistake.
