| In a small village lived a
countrymen who had a goose. One day while going to the nest of his Goose he found an egg
all yellow and glittering. When he took it up it was as heavy as lead and as he was going to throw it away, he gave a second thought and took it home . Soon he found out to his delight that it was an egg of pure gold. He became very happy & every morning the same thing occurred. He became rich by selling those golden eggs. As he grew rich he grew greedy. He thought to himself, " Why not to get all the golden eggs at once which the Goose gives to me daily?' And thinking to get all the eggs, he killed his goose but when he opened it he found nothing. |
