The Tiger & The Hermit

Morale of the Story: " Don't show mercy to the ungrateful, lest you'll invite troubles "

Once a tiger was roaming carelessly among the hills and fell into the valley. He struggled very hard to come out, but was not able to and all his efforts were in vain.
A hermit was passing by and saw the tiger in the valley.

He exclaimed, "My God! how did u fall into this?" The tiger said, "I'll tell you later but please help me out of this first. I shall never forget your gratefulness.

The hermit collected a lot of sticks and placed them across the ditch, the tiger crawled over them and came out jumping over.

The tiger was in the ditch for a long time and was very hungry, so, on coming out of the ditch he attacked the hermit.

The hermit shouted, "Oh, stop! What are you doing? Is this my reward." The tiger said, "I'm terrible hungry." In the meantime a frog passed by. The hermit requested the frog to do justice. the tiger said, "To devour, the prey is my right. How am I responsible for this hermit's foolishness?"
To this the clever frog asked the tiger, "To give proper judgement, I should know where the tiger actually was?".

To this question the tiger said, "Well, look then, I was here" saying this the tiger jumped into the valley.

The frog told the hermit, "Maharaj, now run away to save your life, my cleverness has saved you."

The tiger again was in the deep valley, licking his paw.
