The Tiger & The Hermit |
Morale of the Story: " Don't show mercy to the ungrateful, lest you'll invite troubles " |
| Once a tiger was roaming carelessly
among the hills and fell into the valley. He struggled very hard to come out, but was not
able to and all his efforts were in vain. A hermit was passing by and saw the tiger in the valley. ![]() He exclaimed, "My God! how did u fall into this?" The tiger said, "I'll tell you later but please help me out of this first. I shall never forget your gratefulness. The hermit collected a lot of sticks and placed them across
the ditch, the tiger crawled over them and came out jumping over. The hermit shouted, "Oh, stop! What are you doing? Is
this my reward." The tiger said, "I'm terrible hungry." In the meantime a
frog passed by.
To this question the tiger said, "Well, look then, I was
here" saying this The tiger again was in the deep valley, licking his paw. |
