Empty Jungle's in Dowry |
| ONCE Emperor Akbar had a passion for
hunting. So he asked Birbal to accompany him. While resting in the jungle with Birbal, he
heard two owls hooting.
Huzoor, they are discussing dowry. The owl who is the grooms father wants 40 jungles in which there are no animals. The brides father says he can only arrange for 20. At that moment the owl hooted once more. Huzoor, he says the emperor hunts down so many animals that he should be able to provide the empty jungles by then. The emperor understood what Birbal was trying to convey him and from that day he gave up hunting altogether. |
